East China Jiaotong University (Jiangxi)
East China Jiaotong University (Chinese: 华东交通大学; abbreviated ECJTU) is a university in Nanchang, Jiangxi province, China. It was formerly Shanghai Railway Institute, which was moved from Shanghai to Nanchang in 1971 and adopted the current name.
As a comprehensive university, ECJTU focuses on engineering and also with the development of other fields such as technology, management, economics, arts, law, science, etc. Now there are more than 20,000 registered students in ECJTU. It supports 16 schools, providing 54 specialties for undergraduate education, 16 first-class specialties and 46 second-class specialties for postgraduate education. A large number of scientists and highly qualified professors and teachers devote themselves into the educational careers in our university.
ECJTU has strong abilities in undertaking research projects. In recent years, ECJTU and its faculties have won many national and provincial prizes.
Recently, the University completed their Jing’an campus, built in a traditional Chinese style the design is supposed to give students the opportunity to sketch and observe traditional Chinese culture. The campus is located among mountains and is surrounded by a large river. The on-campus architecture is dominated by shades of red and yellow, and even street lamps and benches are designed in an ancient style. The campus has earned great acclaim from netizens, who praised its environment and style. With a total investment of 1 billion RMB ($144.8 million), the campus will be able to accommodate 5,000 students.

Salaries range from 8,000 – 16,000 RMB a month (approximately $1,610 – $3224 NZD). A fully furnished apartment, a one-year (employment) visa, comprehensive medical insurance, welcome pack and a return airfare will be included. You will also receive 5 weeks paid holiday (winter holiday plus Chinese official holidays), you may be provided opportunities to work extra hours for additional pay.
You must be a native English speaker (a second language isn’t necessary) and have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. To meet visa regulations applicants must be a citizen of New Zealand, Australia, the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland or South Africa. Applicants must also be able to obtain a clear background check. Contracts are for a minimum of 12 months.
A TEFL or TESOL Certification is recommended but not essential. Two years or more experience is also recommended but not essential.
