Jiangxi University of Science and Technology is a university located in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, People’s Republic of China.

Established in 1958, this university was formerly known as Jiangxi Institute of Metallurgy. The university was renamed as Southern Institute of Metallurgy in 1988.

The university is currently joint-sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Jiangxi Provincial Government. It is also one of the five top-ranking universities in Jiangxi Province.

With around 2,000 staff, JUST has a top quality teaching and R&D staff represented by nationally renowned educators as well as very competitive scientific research teams based in many state-level key laboratories and engineering and technological research centers.

JUST has 3 campuses in Ganzhou and a campus in Nanchang. It covers more than 200 acres with an overall structural area of over 800,000 square meters.

Remuneration:

Salaries range from 8,000 – 16,000 RMB a month (approximately $1,610 – $3224 NZD). A fully furnished apartment, a one-year (employment) visa, comprehensive medical insurance, welcome pack and a return airfare will be included.  You will also receive 5 weeks paid holiday (winter holiday plus Chinese official holidays), you may be provided opportunities to work extra hours for additional pay.

 

Requirements:

You must be a native English speaker (a second language isn’t necessary) and have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. To meet visa regulations applicants must be a citizen of New Zealand, Australia, the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland or South Africa. Applicants must also be able to obtain a clear background check. Contracts are for a minimum of 12 months.

 

A TEFL or TESOL Certification is recommended but not essential. Two years or more experience is also recommended but not essential.
